Sweet Tea,Dr. Pepper,Mr. Pibb,Mugs rootbeer and
A&W sodas, but over all of that it's Mountain Dew.You cannot deny the awesome
of a drink with that much sugar and fizz in it.
I'm not going into alcoholic beverages right now
because it;s only going to make me wish I had some right now.
Just like everyone else,CLAMP is the awesome
<3.Even though I've only seen/read a handful of their works
(Tsubasa,Cardcaptor Sakura,Chobits,X),I do want to get into xxxHolic,Clamp
School Paranormal Investigators,and Angelic Layer.
Edit:Darn forgot to mention Magic Knight
Rayearth.Reminds me too of much of Sailor Moon <333.
Ah,I see what you were getting at now Azusa.
Yes,that's very try and one of the things I was talking about, your personality
and how you conduct yourself is what people are going to reflect upon outside of
your outward appearance.Doesn't hold up too well if you're the hottest thing on
the block and have a venomous tongue.I knew a few people like that, couldn't
stand to even talk to them after awhile.
It depends on what your view of appearance is (no
pun intended). Is how gorgeous or handsome you can be? Or is it how you perceive
yourself towards others? It's alright to be alittle narcissistic if you got the
looks, but don't be so superficial your ego clouds your judgement, because looks
aren't everything and you'll realize that what people like about you might just
be your face instead of what suppose to count:your personality, and that's if you
had one to begin with.
Now if you're going for how you dress and all, then
yes,you ought to be presentable enough to go out into public looking so fresh
and so clean (Outkast song plug for the day). What you wear is on you,but you
ought to have enough common sense to wear clean clothes and goom yourself. No one
wants a face full of your funk.
In the personality department,THAT is the definitive
and THAT is what should account the most for a person beyond looks and the
clothes you wear.I can tell you now that I did not consider myself the most
attractive person coming up,I think other of that now considering that I had
long hair and it made me look better, with people liking it.However, what got
people the most was my personality,I wasn't the most talkative and I was moody
growing up but people befriended me regardless especially since I stood out as
unique with my interest in drawing, anime, and music.
In parting, looks are a plus,it's the first thing
alot of people are going to look at,however, your personality is what ought to
shine for you. That to me is what beauty and appearance is,even if it's not on my
mine all the time.
You basically have to find something that will perk
their interest or that they wouldn't mine watching.Considering that my mom would
watch cartoons right along with me and my brothers depending on what she like,it
wasn't much of a hassle for her to get into anime since she thinks is pretty
much the same thing, just in a different style and different place.Plus it can be
rather engaging if it's a good story.
My mom started off watching stuff like DBZ and
Pokemon even though I've been watching quite abit of anime since I was like 5
(sucks that the Sci-Fi channel doesn't show it anymore). Then when anime started
to gaining more popularity and fan frame from channels like Cartoon Network, she
would watch anime like Samurai Champloo and Full Metal Alchemist not just
because of the more mature themes but because of how interesting the stories and
characters were.
Basically,it comes down to interests,appeal,and
acceptance.Probably in time something will get the attention of your friends or
family and they can slowly but surely get into anime more.
It pretty much depends on your taste and preferences
like some of the other mentioned. There are villains who can be complete jerks
and still have a nice fangirl or fanboy following because of how gorgeous they
look, the same as people don't care for a particular protagonist for one reason
or another. At any rate,it comes down to the personality of the individual on top
of their looks and charms.Case-in-point Orihime from Bleach. She may come off as
a space cadet at times, but she's a pretty kind and genuine person, not to
mentioned she's quite "blessed" if you know what I mean .
Fast food is great and all,but I would have to say
buffet aka "sit down and dine as much as you like "places. You can pay
to eat as much as you want under $5 or $10 and still get take it afterwards.Even
though the quality of the food varies from day to day and where you eat,for the
most par it's usually good.
High end places like Olive Garden don't interest me
quite as much though I would like to eat at a decent that would have really good
food. And I'll get prim and proper,I just don't like dressing up all time
regardless if I'll look good.
Depends on your definition of "like" and
why I'm going to school.Don't get me wrong,everyone needs education,we don't
need a bunch of idiots running around trying to be in charge of something and
not having a clue of what they're doing, but if it's for really hard work and
tests I know I'm going to deal with, hell no I don't like school (still gotta do
it).If it's for my friends, getting a meal without killing all the food back at
your house during the course of the week, and the general social interaction, then
yeh,school's great.
For me,I would have to say italian food (though
having authentic chinese would be good).Nothing says "this is going to make
me fat" like alot of meat and cheese . Even
though pizza is pretty common everywhere,I think fettuccine and lasagna are
pretty good,though when I was younger I didn't particular care for lasagna.All
that cottage cheese and spinach didn't taste so grand to me at first, now it just
doesn't taste right without it.
It's kinda hard for me to definitely say what kind I
like, because I'm quite opened minded when it comes to music.I listen to things
ranging from Radiohead,to L'Arc en Ciel,Deftones, Talib Kweli,Common,The Crystal
Method, and I could really go on with the bands I listen (seriously). However I
will tend to listen to a certain genre ALOT or whenever [insert name of band]
grabs my attention for awhile.Right now I've been listening to a bunch of hip
hop, which has sort of aiding me in trying to get back to drawing.I also like how
some groups dare to be different and meld elements of different genres into
their music, that makes them that much more unique.

@ catfromsaturn-I think the only thing close to surf music (or the actual thing)
that I have listened to are the Shins and Jack Johnson xP.Though I have heard
some older surf music, but that was when I was playing Metal Gear Solid 3.
First online game I played was Final Fantasy XI.I
think that pushed me to get alittle more into videogames, but it also helped me
wanting to get more into online stuff among other reasons I'm refuse to stay out
loud ^o^.
Holy crap,Newtype dead D: ? The end is near =__=;...
Anyway,I think it's a combination of not only fansubs but the costs of dvds in
certain countries. The fact that you have rabid fanboys and fangirls that will do
everything in the abilities the heavens gave them to subtitled an anime that is
out in japan, especially if it's good, rest assured they're going to do it.And not
only that, once word gets out that an anime has been subbed, there's going to be
lots more fans making sure it stays flowing around on the net regardless if a
license is snatched up.It may hurt the distributing company in a sense, but
should the company go belly up or the license gets cancelled, you still have the
subs to fall back on...
which is sad in a sense because an anime getting bought and licensed in another
country is a way to expand its fanbase, thrust gaining more revenue for said
company and creator of the anime. You also have to keep in mind that the prices
are higher to counter the costs it took to get acquire the anime, though in some
cases this only hurts the company because it makes it hard for some of us to get
an anime that we like or seems interesting.
A point that Entity made, honorifics and certain events and meanings are lost
when being translated to english or another language, thrust leaving many of us
dumbfounded at what happened.I'd like to add more to this topic but I'm getting
booted off the pc,I'll be back another time to finish up ^-^;.
Ok real answer time.Pretty much the others said, but in IMO I think it's because
how it's geared towards kids 13 on up and the fact that the show features a
ninja-in-trading who acts like he has ADD,hyped up on sugar and can do amazing
feats kids his age back in the real world wish they could do.Anyone on a more
serious level would like and connect with many of the characters featured
especially as you get to know more about them as the story progresses.
(only seen 15 episodes of the first season and I think Kakashi is the shizz
because of his personality and how he approaches certain matters differently)
More nutjobs coming out of Virgina,no surprise there.Anyway my thoughts, the kid
should have known better to bring something like that to school,on the other
hand considering no harm came from him making it,this will not get blown out of
portion. In any case if the kid really does have mental issues help might be
needed, but if he did it as a way to vent just let him be.
Quote by shinshinoviWell, IMO, the
Internet truly reflects reality.
Perhaps it's time for MT to make some security measures. Boards like MT are very
vulnerable, especially that this one's on the international level. If local
sites would be hacked by hackers, it'll take less time for them to get
bored.
Calling all whitehats! D:
That's pretty much the point I'm getting at.The site
needs to be refortified to protect the users and their usual business
here.Acting like "problem solved,no need to worry,we got it covered"
is bias to think.I'm going to take a guess that this has already been put into
thought, but considering how obvious it is at what happened it makes sense to
eventually let everyone know of the matter at hand.
I'm curious as to who the pathetic lowlife that attacked the site was and why.I
was told some things by our dear Dianas yesterday, but I'm wondering why the
chump decided to go all out on the site instead of the person he wanted revenge
on[/quote
There's no need to say anything else on the situation as the person responsible
would obviously still be reading, however the majority of it is pretty obvious.
Someone was bored with too much time found a weakness in the site and exploited
it. Whatever gave you the impression the entire thing was based on one revenge
move is ridiculous and I believe your dear friend dianas is
wrong.
That may be so but I think the person needs to get a
damn life if they can waste time with trying to dismantle a website.Be whatever
it is,Minitokyo has some flaws that need to get worked out to keep things like
this from happening again, and not just on the technical forefront at that.In the
4 years I've been on this site I've never seen anything like this, and it's quite
revolting for some ingrate to do this for s**** and giggles just to cause an
uproar.
Ello Yunkia welcome to MT ^-^.The download quota are
5 free downloads you get viewing or saving any of the wallpapers and scans you
see on he site. After that you start using credits which you get from posting in
the forums and galleries. You find out more info here: http://support.minitokyo.net/about/
I don't log in for a week and the site's gone to
hell. What's the deal? Seems all the fun stuff happens when I'm not around
(j/k)

I can't believe this,my big sister.I had just seen
her online the other week.I haven't been talking to her as much as I use to,but
this saddening. What did she come down with?
This is the first time in two months that I have
come here, and I would not have found out if I did not see the online mag for the
site.Semanga was one of my first friends when I came to Minitokyo, and she was
always very kind to me and did so alot of artwork in commerance for me.Outside
of the site, she wanted me to have a girlfriend, get better with my artwork,be
happy, and so much more.I can't believe she passed so sudden,I just
can't.
This is the first person I know to have passed while
being a member her.Even though she and I were not bloodkin and I did not know
her in person,I will miss her.She is one of the few people who believed in me
regardless of how awful I was feeling whenthing sin my life were getting to me
and was more than willing to listen.I won't forget her,and I will keep pressing
forward for her,and I promise I will finally make some artwork for her...
Wow I should look at this stuff more o_o.I think the
P.A.X thing would be a wonderful idea,however.....we need more people to get
involved. The group has been all but semi-concious this summer, and with the
W.A.R. competition approaching it would be difficult to do something like that
without enough supporters, and considering many of the members have not been very
active lately in the group or MT (I sure as hell haven't),without a concrete
mode of promoting and planning it might not get too far. Also, wth are doing for
the W.A.R. competition o___o?Do we even have a team?
Edit:Ok looks the promting thing has been suggesting
(saw char's last post),but we need more people to do that, primarily people who
are pretty active here nowadays.
On a much brighter note, the collabs thing would help
bring more orignal walls and artwork into the spotlight and start detouring some
of this bias crap you see slip into the highlights section and popular art
section.I can't tell you how tired I am of seeing a wallpaper get up there they
probably didn't take nearly as long as a doujinshi.Just thought of something
too, where the heck are Clap and Yina? Are they members? Let's recruit them for
some of these ideas you got going char.that's if they're willing to assist in
our endeavor of course ^-^'.
Forget the headband,I want Urahara's hat :P.
